The Smitten Kitten talks toxic sex toys - News: "and I had some toys that were probably toxic,' Pritchett said. 'When I had to throw them away, it was like a little funeral because I really liked them.'
The Smitten Kitten now sells only safe toys.
'Our philosophy is if we know how dangerous these chemicals are in children and dogs, we don't want any contact with them either,' Pritchett said.
The store, located at the intersection of Lyndale Avenue and West Lake Street in Minneapolis, is staffed by sex educators who help customers with any sex questions they might have, according to Pritchett.
'We try not to gender designate the toys in our shop because your toy doesn't care who you are or how you identify your gender. People of both genders use all of our toys,' Pritchett said.
The store offers educational sessions, which include 'Erotica Writing 101' and 'Earth Day: Toxic Sex Toys 101.'

I guess we all learn something every day and I for one had never considered the fact that some of my toys may have been toxic!!! I'll be doing a bit of research and filling you kids in on my findings.
